Case Study
Technics were a small, recently formed company selling IT products imported from the Far East. They were receiving large orders from well known names but the exposure to their balance sheet was considerable. They approached FHA and we arranged a policy for them that covered them for 90% of any bad debts, selling worldwide. They worked closely with us and the underwriter to establish credit cover on a number of difficult markets, which enabled them to trade with confidence and to grow the business.
In a very few years they reached a turnover of £70m plus and along the way were protected from several bad debts including two large ones which they may not have survived alone.
Without a suitably structured policy, they would either have not done the business, and failed to grow, or possibly failed themselves when the unexpected large failures came along.
